Despite the rain, it was an auspicious day on “Muktifest” to celebrate the restoration of the building.

The repairs are complete.  The alter is prepared.

Former residents were present as were the musicians.

Sacred songs were chanted.

And Bapuji blessed us all.

The last major project was the repair of the dirt road leading down the hill to Muktidham.  It was a road only a brave person with a high clearance truck could reasonably traverse as shown in the “before” pictures below.

The road was also a challenge to people on foot, and an outright blocker to those with mobility issues.

KYI handled this by contracting with Sacks and Sons Excavators who had the heavy equipment to do the job right.  We now have a beautiful road paved with crushed stone that anyone can navigate as shown in the “after” pictures.

As a matter of policy, we would like only those with mobility issues to drive down to Muktidham.

Behold the sweet parking area. Bapuji would be well pleased, I believe.
